Genesis 29:15-30 Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel

Genesis 29:15-30 Jacob Marries Leah and Rachel

Jacob stayed with Laban for a month.  Jacob had been working for Laban for free. He wanted to know what he wanted to be paid for working for him. He said he wanted to work for Laban for 7 years and then be wed to his beautiful daughter Rachel.   Laban agreed to the arrangement. The time flew by for Jacob because he loved her.

Laban made a great feast and than gave Jacob the other sister Leah pretending it was Rachel. The next morning Jacob realized the switch. Laban told him it was tradition to marry away the older daughter first.

Laban then made him work another 7 years to get Rachel.

Genesis 29:30

Jacob lay with Rachel also, and he loved Rachel more than Leah. And he worked for Laban another seven years.

And so the trouble started.
