Exodus 23:10-13 The Sabbath and Land
The next section is about the land and how to use it.
For six years you should plant and harvest your field but in the seventh year you should not plant anything but let it rest. During this time the needy and the animal may eat from the field.
You should do the same with the vineyard and olive grove.
Six days you are to do your work but on the seventh day you should rest. Your ox, donkey, son of your female slave, and your stranger may also rest.
Don’t mention the name of other gods.
