Exodus 15:22 - 27 The Waters of Marah and Elim

Exodus 15:22 - 27 The Waters of Marah and Elim

Read Exodus 15:22-27 here

The Israelites traveled for 3 days where there was no water.  They came to the land of Marah and they could not drink the water because it was bitter.  This land was named after the bitter water.  Once again the Isrealites complained about there circumstances.

Exodus 15:24

So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What are we to drink?”

Moses cried out to the Lord and he provided a piece of wood.  Moses took the wood and put it in the water and it became sweet. And they name the place Joanna because it was so sweet…. just kidding.

God made a decree and told the Israelites that they listen to him and do what this right, pay attention to his command, and keep all his decrees.  If they did this God would not do as he did with the Egyptians.

The Israelites came to Elim and they camped near springs and seventy palm trees.
