Exodus 25:23-30 The table of Showbread

Exodus 25:23-30 The table of Showbread

Read Exodus 25:23-30 here

They were to make an acacia wood table that was to be 2 cubits long and 1 wide and 1 ½ high.  It was also to be overlaid with gold with a gold border around it.  There should be a rim around it that is a handbreadth.

The table was to be carried in a specific way:

Exodus 25:26-29

Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them. And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings.

They were to make out of gold:

  • Dishes

  • Pans

  • Jars

  • Bowls

These were to pour out the drink offering.

On the table there should be bread of Presence at all times.
